Setting roaming profile for users vs on computer

I am referring the following link to enable roaming profile for all users of Domain Users group in my cluster.
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/storage/folder-redirection/deploy-roaming-user-profiles
I have created a share on the domain controller and given permissions to Domain Users group as mentioned in the steps in above link.

I want roaming profile to be automatically enabled for any new user added to the Domain Users group. To meet this requirement, should I configure roaming profile for users as mentioned in step #5 (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/storage/folder-redirection/deploy-roaming-user-profiles#step-5-optionally-set-up-roaming-user-profiles-on-user-accounts) or should I setup roaming profile on computers as mentioned in step #6 (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/storage/folder-redirection/deploy-roaming-user-profiles#step-6-optionally-set-up-roaming-user-profiles-on-computers)?

    Hello,

Thank you so much for posting here.

If you are deploying Roaming User Profiles to user accounts, use the procedure described in Step 5: Optionally set up Roaming User Profiles on user accounts.

If you are deploying Roaming User Profiles to computers, as is typically done for Remote Desktop Services or virtualized desktop deployments, we could follow the Step 6.

If you set up Roaming User Profiles on computers by using Group Policy and on user accounts by using Active Directory, the computer-based policy setting takes precedence.

Since we would like to configure roaming profile for any new user added to the Domain Users group, we could consider the option in Step 6.

    Best regards,
    Hannah Xiong
