Microsoft Authenticator not working for one account

Question

The Microsoft Authenticator app doesn’t work for one of my accounts. It creates an endless loop, failing to provide a code or allow manual entry of a number as an alternative login option. No fallback methods (like SMS or email) are available.

This is critical as I cannot access my job email, essential for work. Is there a way to fix the app or set up a fallback method, like a secondary email?
