ADMINISTRATION PROBLEM

So my mother originally set up an account on my computer which gives her administration. There are some applications I can't download or delete without permission, but the problem is: She forgot the password to it, and she said she can't reset it. I tried a lot of different ways online, but they all require administration. I heard that you could reset the operating system, but I don't want to lose everything. Is there anyway I can gain control back without having to reset my computer?
