Hello,

I have 2FA for my company admin account and I have changed my phone but now cannot approve it from authenticatior app(as usual). But there is no other options to login even with phone number. It says ask your administrator to change your settings to but I am the administrator(how???).

I think there is a serious logic fault on microsoft 365 email authenticator system.

Could you please help to solve the issue.

    Hello Semra,

    Thanks for your question.

As it is a means of authentication, when changing your phone, you need to backup your credentials on your old phone before transferring to a new phone. See: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/back-up-account-credentials-in-microsoft-authenticator-bb939936-7a8d-4e88-bc43-49bc1a700a40

If this was not done you will need to contact Support to help you with your account.
