- Double-Check Your Settings:
Server Port Encryption Incoming Mail Server (IMAP) mail.twc.com 993 SSL/TLS Incoming Mail Server (POP) mail.twc.com 995 SSL/TLS Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) mail.twc.com 587 STARTTLS - Ensure there are no typos in your username, password, server addresses, or port numbers.
- Delete and Re-add Your Account:
- Sometimes, removing the account and adding it back can resolve configuration issues. In Outlook, delete the existing Spectrum email account and then re-add it using the settings above.
- Check for App Password:
- Spectrum typically does not provide a separate app password. Use your regular Spectrum email password. If prompted for an app password, it might be a miscommunication.
- Update Outlook:
- Ensure you're using the latest version of Outlook. Updates can include bug fixes that might resolve your issue.
- Uninstall and Reinstall:
- Uninstall the Outlook and then download for Old Outlook on Microsoft support here: You can't open classic Outlook on a new Windows PC - Microsoft Support to see if there are any differences.
