How can I get my Spectrum email back on my Outlook mail?

I had been using the old Outlook for quite a while and always had my Spectrum email account on it also, as it makes it very convenient. There were times when for some reason I'd have to sign back into the Spectrum account with my password and it would come back on in Outlook. It even worked when I was using the new Outlook before it came officially online. Now all of a sudden, I can't get it back on. I've been very frustrated and seem to keep going in circles with what I find on the Internet. Nothing seems to work. I'm not a proficient computer type person but seem to be able to hold my own. When I try to Manage the Spectrum account, it asks for a password that may be an app password from Spectrum. I've entered my email password as I have always done in the past to no avail. I can't find anywhere to get an app password from Spectrum. They say it's a Microsoft issue and vice versa. I've seen the same complaint listed, so I hope there is someone here that can fix this. Thank you!

    Hi @Michael Caldararo

    Welcome to our forum!

Here are some steps you can follow:

    1. Double-Check Your Settings:
      Server Port Encryption
      Incoming Mail Server (IMAP) mail.twc.com 993 SSL/TLS
      Incoming Mail Server (POP) mail.twc.com 995 SSL/TLS
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) mail.twc.com 587 STARTTLS
      • Ensure there are no typos in your username, password, server addresses, or port numbers.
    2. Delete and Re-add Your Account:
      • Sometimes, removing the account and adding it back can resolve configuration issues. In Outlook, delete the existing Spectrum email account and then re-add it using the settings above.
    3. Check for App Password:
      • Spectrum typically does not provide a separate app password. Use your regular Spectrum email password. If prompted for an app password, it might be a miscommunication.
    4. Update Outlook:
      • Ensure you're using the latest version of Outlook. Updates can include bug fixes that might resolve your issue.
    5. Uninstall and Reinstall:

    Hope it helps!

here is a workaround. do you have a gmail account? use outlook to use gmail account. once setup, go to webmail for spectrum and open it. go to settings and find the button to turn on forward email. then select your gmail address for forwarding. you will get all gmail and spectrum emails in outlook.

Spectrum no longer supports any 3rd party email clients. did this today and it works flawlessly. BTW IMO use the outlook classic, it has more options than the outlook new

I had the same problem. I deleted the roadrunner account from the new Outlook, and then added it back in, but used the advanced settings to use POP3 instead of IMAP.. Port for POP3 is 995
