Random "Crash" Producing No Minidump

System seems to be kicking back to log in page randomly. This will close anything that was open. This has happened with a game open, but it has also happened with just firefox open.

No Blue Screen just back to log in screen

System set up to create small dump file at %SYSTEM_ROOT%/Minidump
No such folder is present in the C drive (which is the drive my Windows is installed on)
Memory dump file in the system root hasn't had a change since March of last year

I am on a custom build that has been running since about May of 2021

I am unsure of how to proceed in finding the root issue here, and any insight would be appreciated.

    Hello,

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Check Event Logs
    • Open the Start Menu and type "Event Viewer" in the search bar.
    • Launch Event Viewer from the search results.
    • Expand the "Windows Logs" section in the left-hand pane.
    • Select "System" to review system-related logs for any errors or warnings around the time the issue occurs.
    1. Check for Windows Updates

Ensure your system is up to date with the latest updates:

    • Open Settings from the Start Menu.
    • Navigate to "Update & Security" and select "Windows Update".
    • Click "Check for updates" and install any available updates.
    1. Update Drivers

Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause system instability:

    • Open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start Menu and selecting "Device Manager".
    • Expand each category and right-click on the devices to select "Update driver".
    • Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software".
    1. Check for Software Conflicts

Sometimes, third-party software can cause conflicts:

    • Boot into Safe Mode and see if the issue persists. If it doesn't, a third-party application might be the cause.
    • Uninstall any recently installed software that might be causing the issue.

    Best Regards,

    Hania Lian
