Hello,

I have this issue where i don't want to provide my users with admin rights but i cant find a way to give them full access to device manager without it. I there some way to allow users to use device manager with admin privileges without giving them full admin rights ?

    Hello Linas Juška,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

By design, Windows requires administrative privileges to perform most device management tasks because changes to hardware settings (and driver installations, removals or updates) can greatly affect system stability and security. That means there isn’t a supported, out‐of‐the‐box way to let standard (non-admin) users open or use Device Manager with full administrative capabilities while keeping them as non-administrators in other areas.

There is no officially supported way to delegate full Device Manager functionality to non-admin users without also giving them elevated privileges in other areas.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any question or concern, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,

    Daisy Zhou
