WHY has Microsoft Removed the SIMPLE & EASY One Click List of Active Network Devices from Left Side of File Explorer and HOW do we get this BACK Again. I have tried to follow the method of seeing this List by Network Discovery, but I get lost and all of the Procedure to get that to work. WHAT was So Wrong about the File Explorer access to the Local Network List, that it needed to be made HARDER to ACCESS.

IS there a SIMPLE FIX for this Access to my Local Access List or do I always have to refer to my Router to see what is connected by LAN or Wireless????

Does NOT make sense to me.at all.

Cheers

    Hello,

I recommend that you try the following methods to see if they can solve the problem:

    1. Turn on network discovery and file and printer sharing, and then turn off password-protected sharing.

Select the Start button, and then select Settings.

In the Find Settings search bar, type "Manage advanced sharing settings", and then select "Manage advanced sharing settings" from the recommended results.

In the Advanced Sharing Settings window that appears, under Private, select "Turn on network discovery" and then open "File and Printer Sharing".

Under All Networks, select "Turn off password-protected sharing".

    1. Enable the sharing service to start automatically. This problem usually occurs when one of the services is not working properly.

Press the Windows logo key + R.

In the Run dialog box, type "services.msc", and then select OK.

Right-click each of the following services, select Properties, and if the service is not running, select the Start menu, and then select Automatic next to Startup type:

    workstation

    Function Discovery Provider Host

    Function Discovery Resource Publishing

    SSDP Discovery

    UPnP Device Host

    Best regards

Network Discovery and Printer & File Sharing have always been "ON"

I do NOT believe that the problem is mine - at one stage the Devices that were Running on the Network, showed up in the Network Section of "My Computer" - Then, suddenly, they did not appear. This has been the case for Months now - The only place where I can see the Devices that are on, is within my Router; but this is a Messy and Time Consuming way to establish my Network Connections. IF they have changed it, put it back the way it was before.

WHAT has Microsoft done to cause this to happen ?????????????
