In version 24h2 of Windows 11 I have the problem that when joining the computer to a domain it deactivates the network devices (WLAN - LAN) and does not allow them to be activated. This happens when forcing the domain policies after joining it.

    Hello,

Here are a few steps you can try to resolve it:

Check Group Policy Settings: Ensure that the Web Proxy Auto-Discovery Service (WPAD) is not disabled via a domain-wide group policy. Disabling WPAD can cause network devices to deactivate.

Update Network Drivers: Make sure your network drivers are up to date. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause connectivity issues.

Review Security Policies: Check if any security policies are affecting the network devices. Specifically, look into the "Network Security: Configure Encryption types allowed for Kerberos" policy and ensure it is set correctly.

    Best Regards,

Like Hania you may have a policy disabling WPAD. You can try to remove that to prevent computers from getting this issue.

If not, you'll have to manually remove a value on each computer registry.
    Open Regedit as admin

    Look for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Wcmsvc

    Open DependOnService and remove WinHTTPAutoProxySvc

    Click OK and reboot.
