Custom Domain adding issue

Question

I am trying to add a custom domain (<redacted>.com) for my App Service (B1 plan). I've added the provided TXT record in GoDaddy's DNS settings but my domain after 48 hours is not verified. Below is the error message:

Validation failed because the expected DNS records are not found: A TXT record pointing from asuid.<redacted>.com to 4be4dea3a620d2cad0cd6cd8143e6960ac407aa709f27f118ac2835c392130d3 was not found. Try checking the hostname records entered with your domain provider. Note that it can take up to 48 hours for records changes to take effect.

I can confirm that the TXT record change had been propagated on [https://www.whatsmydns.net/#TXT/asuid.<redacted>.com]

I've been advised to raise the issue here by Microsoft Support.

Hi Ara,

You have an extra space at the beginning of the TXT record. Please remove it and try again. You may need to wait at least an hour for the old DNS record to expire. Screenshot below showing extra space:
