Managed Private End Points issue between Fabric Workspace and Azure AI Cognitive service

Not able to call the Azure AI cognitive speech to text service from Fabric Notebooks. I have created Managed Private End Points in the Fabric workspace targeting the Azure AI cognitive service. The workspace identity of Fabric workspace is a system assigned managed identity. Assigned roles as Cognitive Services Contributor.

Hi Jose, Thanks for the reply.

Yes, the configuration, role assignment, region compatibility are all correct. Not sure about network security settings. Let me know what I exactly would be missing for this issue. I also tried to create private DNS zone and wanted to add virtual network link of the Vnet where Fabric workspace resides in. But I am not able to find the details as it is managed by Fabirc behind the scenes. I will waiting for your reply

Hi Karthik Thallam,

Thank you for confirming the configuration, role assignment, and region compatibility. Since network security settings might be a factor, could you check if the Azure AI endpoint can be reached directly from your Fabric Notebook?

Hi Santoshkc,

The managed private end point created in Fabric workspace targeting the Azure AI service is successfully approved and active on both ends. However, I am not able to call the AI speech to text service in the Fabric Notebooks. While all the others like region, role assignments are correct.

Regarding your scenario, I think it's better to post your query in MS Fabric, as I see you're implementing the endpoint in your Fabric. I suggest posting it on the Fabric platform for better resolution.
