Outlook Tasks end of service

Question

Good day all together,

I am working in a Company at the IT Helpdesk.

Most recently, people across our company told me, that they received the message that Outlook Tasks end of service is supposed to be in October. As we in the IT do not use Outlook Tasks we are not sure, if this information is actually valid, as there was no real announcement. I want to confirm if this change is actually valid and is going to take place, as certain departments are dependent on this application. Thanks in regards for your answer.

What does the prompt look like?

Did the user set the end time prompt for the task?

Based on my search, there is no official documentation stating a notification of the task termination service. Also, please pay attention to the security of your email account and beware of phishing emails.
