Server 2016 trying to download some updates from WSUS and not directly from MS

Question

Hi,

in our infrastructure we have a WSUS server with the option "Do not store updates locally, computer install from MS Update".
Now, we have an issue on a machine with SQL related updates. All other Windows related updates worked flawlessly.
In detail seems that the wu agent is trying to download these updates from the WSUS and not from MS update.

Working update:

Hello,

Check WSUS Configuration: Ensure that your WSUS server is configured to include SQL Server updates. Sometimes, specific update classifications or products might not be selected, causing the updates to be unavailable.

Synchronize WSUS: Manually synchronize your WSUS server to ensure it has the latest updates from Microsoft Update. This can sometimes resolve issues where updates are not being downloaded correctly.

Review Update Approvals: Verify that the SQL updates are approved for installation on the affected machine. If the updates are not approved, the client machine will not attempt to download them.
