I don't want to use a PIN or fingerprint

I use windows 11 on a work desktop with no problem. 25 other people have access to that machine - not my log in or my data but they can log on to it with their own credentials. No pins or fingerprints are required for the vast array of websites required to complete our daily workload. On my personal laptop at home- that no one in the world has access to- I have to enter a PIN or fingerprint for every single site. This is the most annoying process. There is already double verification for these sites, a third is redundant. HOW DO I TURN OFF THE NEED FOR A PIN ON MY PERSONAL LAPTOP IN ALL WEBSITES? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

    Good day,

Hope this helps settle your frustration.

To disable Windows Hello, follow these steps:

    Using Settings:

Open Settings by pressing Windows + I.

Navigate to Accounts > Sign-in options.

Under Manage how you sign in to your device, you will see options for Windows Hello PIN, Face, and Fingerprint.

Click on each option (e.g., Windows Hello PIN) and select Remove to disable them12.

Using Group Policy Editor (for Windows 10 Pro, Enterprise, and Education):

Press Win + R, type gpedit.msc, and press Enter.

Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Logon.

Find the policy named Turn on convenience PIN sign-in and set it to Disabled2.

    Using Registry Editor:

Press Win + R, type regedit, and press Enter.

    Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System.

Right-click on the right pane, select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.

Name it AllowDomainPINLogon and set its value to 0.

Restart your computer for the changes to take effect2.

These methods should help you disable Windows Hello on your device. If you encounter any issues, feel free to ask for further assistance!

Yes, you can > Settings and not use Windows Hello... which then means using a password (instead) to log on to the machine. But I admit, I don't really understand where you say, "for every single site". There should be no need to enter such info for each and every web site. Please, better explain. Windows Hello is to go into the computer, not into individual web sites. Sounds, on the surface, as if mixing apples & oranges. Please, help me out here so I might be able to offer a better answer.

Btw, Hello is much more secure than a password.

    Cheers,

Ok, it has nothing to do with Windows Hello. The problem is google. I don't know how you have things organised but... if you are using google, switch to Edge. Check what settings you have with google. Personally, I try to avoid google anything. Anyway, your problem is with google, not Windows.

    Cheers,
