What unit is used for the carbon intensity diagram in Azure Carbon Optimisation?

Hi,

First of all, sorry for the wrong child tag. There is no option to choose Azure Carbon Optimisation.

My question is: what unit is used for Carbon Intensity in Azure Carbon Optimization? I looked up in the documentations of Microsoft, but there is no such information that says what unit is used. Unlike the other diagrams in Azure Carbon Optimisation you can see what unit they are measured, but the Carbon Intensity diagram has no unit described.

I also googled my self to see what other sites are using as unit for carbon intensity, but some are saying using gram of CO2e per product and the others kg of CO2e per product.

The unit used for measuring carbon intensity in Azure Carbon Optimization is typically expressed in terms of your company’s allocation of Microsoft’s carbon emissions divided by your company’s cloud usage hours during the selected time period. This is calculated based on a sum of your company’s compute, storage, and data transfer in the Microsoft cloud. The specific unit for carbon emissions is metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (MTCO2E).
