Issues with Intel Virtualization and VMware Workstation Pro
Problem Description: I am encountering an error in VMware Workstation Pro on my Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i (latest model laptop) with windows 11 that says: "VMware Workstation does not support nested virtualization on this host. Module 'HV' power on failed. Failed to start the virtual machine."
Even though Intel Virtualization is enabled in the BIOS, the issue persists.
Steps Already Tried:All with Administrator Privileges
Ran systeminfo
to verify system configuration.
Used the command bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off
.
Disabled the Microsoft-Hyper-V-All
feature using PowerShell.
Disabled the HypervisorPlatform
feature using PowerShell.
Modified the local group policy: Device Guard > Turn On Virtualization Security > Disabled.
Turned off Memory Integrity under Windows Security > Device Security > Core Isolation Details.
Unchecked both Hyper-V and Windows Hypervisor Platform in Windows Features.
Additional Verifications:
- Confirmed that Intel Virtualization is enabled in the BIOS.
Verified through Task Manager that Intel VT-x is active.
Request for Assistance: Are there any additional steps I could take to resolve this issue? Are there specific configurations or limitations I should be aware of?Problem Description:
