Availability of GPT-4o-Transcribe in Azure AI Speech?

GPT-4o-Transcribe has recently been released by OpenAI. Will this also be available via Azure AI Speech, similar to Whisper, so that it can be easily integrated into flows with the appropriate connectors?

The gpt-4o-transcribe and gpt-4o-mini-transcribe models are accessible via the Azure OpenAI /audio API for speech-to-text tasks. These models support audio file sizes up to 25 MB and demonstrate improved word error rates and language recognition compared to Whisper.

Hi,

I know that it is available via Azure OpenAI Service. My question was if it will also be available via Azure AI Speech Services to be able to easily switch between Whisper and GPT-4o-Transcribe in MS Flows.

There is no ETA or announcement for enabling GPT-4o-Transcribe in Speech Services. By default, Speech recognition utilizes a Universal Language Model as a base model that is trained with Microsoft-owned data and reflects commonly used spoken language.

But you can use Azure OpenAI connectors in your workflows
