User receives repeated "Request Approval" prompt even after admin consent granted

A user is trying to sync their integration account with our application. During the sync process, they are prompted with a "Request Approval" message.

An admin has already reviewed and approved the request, but the user still sees the same "Request Approval" screen when attempting to sync.

We’ve tried the following:

Cleared browser cache and cookies

Waited for more than 5 minutes

Tried signing in again

Despite these steps, the issue persists. We’re not sure how to resolve this. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Have you checked whether the permissions are correctly reflected on the service principal object corresponding to the app? Just in case, you can also try adding the permissions directly, bypassing the admin approval process. You will of course need to perform these steps as administrator, details are here: https://www.michev.info/blog/post/6080/how-to-manage-entra-id-delegate-permissions-for-specific-users

    Hi Jayapriya Selvaraj,

    Welcome to our forum!

Please refer to the article and have a try: Unexpected consent prompt when signing in to an application - Microsoft Entra ID | Microsoft Learn

    User's image

In addition, if possible, the admin could try rejecting and re-approving the request to trigger a fresh state.

    Hope it helps.
