avoiding excessive security

I have two USB sticks with almost identical content, both connected to the PC through a switchable hub. When I switch each on, one just opens, but the other triggers questions about scanning etc. How can I get the second to open as simply as the first one does ?

Open Settings > Devices > AutoPlay

    Connect the problematic USB drive

Set its default action to "Open folder to view files" instead of "Ask me every time

    Back up the contents:

Right-click the drive in File Explorer > Format.

Choose NTFS or exFAT (As req.) and do a full format (not quick).

Restore the files and test again.

Just reformatting to NTFS seems to be enough, without unticking 'Quick Format' - else it converts a short procedure to a very lengthy one.
