Hi anubhav singh,
Sorry for the late response.
Regarding the taskbar behavior in Windows 11 Home Edition. Unfortunately, as of the current Windows 11 release, Microsoft does not support repositioning the taskbar to the top, left, or right via built-in settings. The only configurable option under Taskbar alignment is the horizontal placement of icons either Center or Left not the taskbar’s screen position.
If your taskbar is appearing at the top, it’s likely the result of a third-party customization tool or an unsupported registry tweak. Windows 11’s native UI does not provide controls to move the taskbar vertically. This behavior may persist if a tool modified the system settings or if a registry key was altered manually.
What you can do to restore default behavior:
- Check if any third-party customization software (TaskbarX, StartAllBack, e.g.) is installed and disable or uninstall it.
- Reset taskbar settings via:
- Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors
- Ensure alignment is set to Center or Left, and confirm no external tools are overriding layout.
