Windows Hello

Question

When I try to sign in to Microsoft Edge I get ...Use Windows Hello with your account. Set it up with a Windows Hello Face  or fingerprint or Pin ... Then it goes on to  ... Something went wrong while registering my email address for Windows Hello ....

I believe I have set up a Pin for access to my Microsoft Account?

What is happening?

Also when accessing my Microsoft Account I keep seeing an old gmail email address which was used to sign in to my Microsoft Account, before it was changed, and which is only now used for emails.

Any help appreciated.

Oh Ok. 

So, the "Email" field when signing in is automatically filled in with your Gmail email?

This is because of auto fill. 

What browser are you using?

If Microsoft Edge you can change these settings by:

Three Dots > Settings > Passwords > Delete the "Saved password" for Gmail.

When I go to sign in to my Microsoft Account the first email address that comes up is the old Gmail address & I have to change it to my present email address to sign in. I still use the Gmail address for receipt of emails.

Hi, 

When you say you see Gmail email addresses do you mean you see that on your Microsoft account OR do you mean when you are signed in to your Microsoft account they show up in gmail.com?
