Hi,

Is there any way to activate a windows 10 enterprise using azure AD join and e5 license even though the machine you used doesn't have any firmware embedded activation key? I got the right E5 license and the machine is join via azure ad join. But it won't allow me to activate or it doesn't activate.

One reason that I think is the machine doesn't have firmware embedded activation key. Just want to confirm if I'm correct? If yes, is there any way to fix this?

Read the link I posted here again:

An issue has been identified with Hybrid Azure AD joined devices that have enabled multi-factor authentication (MFA). If a user signs into a device using their Active Directory account and MFA is enabled, the device will not successfully upgrade to their Windows Enterprise subscription.

If you're running Win10 1809, you'll have to install KB4497934. If you use later Win10 versions, this is already included.

For Win10 1803 or before, you'll have to temporarily disable MFA during the 30-day polling period for activation and renewal.
