How STORSIMPLE physical device backup works when the device is sent back?

We are currently migrating data off our storsimple physical device with a plan to send it back. We have backups, will these be available when we have sent the device back ?

    Assuming the device is 8000 series device. For 8000 series - The backups are in cloud, so it will be available even if device is sent back.

    By chance are you talking about legacy 5000/7000 series and migrating it to 8000 series? If so, it depends on type of backup
