There is a maximum of 200 prefixes advertised on a single ExpressRoute connection, or through VNet peering using gateway transit. From documentation it is mentioned that if we exceed this 200 prefix limit on an ExpressRoute connection then the connection between the ExpressRoute circuit and the gateway will go down. Are there any workarounds which could help to overcome this?

Two workarounds would be as follows-

    1. Summarize routes on your on-premise so lesser number of routes can be advertised.
    2. Add another ER connection which would mean another 200 routes can be advertised.

These are the available work arounds at the moment. Hope this helps. Please let us know if you have additional questions. Thank you!
