Notepad Fonts

I have Malgun Gothic font installed in my PC already. But when I open Notepad, it doesn't display Malgun Gothic :/ I cannot read Korean texts!

    Can you do the following for me?

    Press ‘Windows + X’ and select control panel.

    b) Select Clock, Region and Language.

    c) Click on “Language"

    d) In Change language preference, choose the language of your preference to Korean.

    e) Choose location and change your location.

    f) Click on Advanced Settings from the left panel.

    g) Select Korean under Override for Windows display language and Override for default input method section.

    h) Click on Save button.

    Wouldn't that change the display language from English to Korean? That is not what I'm going for. I just need my notepad to read Malgun GOthic font so I can view korean characters.

    In Notepad, when you click Format - Font, does Malgun Gothic not appear in the list of fonts?

    Do you know if the font you downloaded was a TTF or OTF type of font file?

    The font file is TTF. Yep, exactly. Malgun is already installed but it does not appear in the list of fonts.
