Welcome web page does not open

Hi, I have just receive the Percept Kit and trying to connect for the first time.

According to the video, when my pc is connected to the wifi hotspot created by the device, a browser welcome page is supposed to be opened but I tried several times, different browsers, different computers (even with Ubuntu) and nothing happens.

Also I tried with SSH, but I don't know neither the user or pwd.

Some help?

@Javier Morales Escudero if you are successfully connected to the SoftAP you can also open the Out-of-the-Box Experience (OOBE) by typing 10.1.1.1 as your browser URL. 10.1.1.1 is the IP address of the SoftAP. If you connect through ethernet and know the device's IP, typing that to the browser as well.

Ssh to the device is blocked by default and you'll need to generate the ssh user as a part of OOBE.

However, as you mentioned a new browser tab should open automatically after successful connection to SoftAP. I have noticed that sometimes browser's settings may block it. I unfortunately don't have good information/documentation in terms of what settings to check.

Hi,

I am just connected to the wifi created by the device, not sure if it is the SoftAP you mentioned.

When I try to URL http://10.1.1.1 or https://10.1.1.1 nothing happens ... just time out.

I tried to ping 10.1.1.1 and also noting happens. I connect two pcs to the wifi hotsopt and both have ips in the range in this case 10.1.1.113 and 10.1.1.117 ... I can ping each other, but I cannot ping 10.1.1.1

What am I doing wrong??

Can you confirm that you purchased the device? If that's the case then I just want confirm some of the basic:
-The SoftAP (the Wifi created by the device) you connected to is called scz-[xxx] or apd-[xxx]?

I tested and it seems ping is blocked. You could try ssh to 10.1.1.1 and even though you can't log in it will tell you if the IP address is recognized.

If this is an earlier version of the device (that was used in a private preview) you might need to use 10.1.1.1:4242.

Hi,

10.1.1.1:4242 worked!!!

So, it is from private preview (wifi created is scz-xxx) . It was purchased by my colleagues in the Netherlands and sent it to me (Spain) two days ago to make some computer vision on the edge.

Great that you got this to work! I would strongly recommend that you'll update the device. You'll get especially newer container versions for Vision AI etc. Here are the instructions:

Once you have updated to public preview software you can continue doing ADU (Azure Device Update) based updates when we offer new SW versions, but the initial update from private preview software to public preview software needs to be done via USB. With public preview SW you can follow all the public instructions (and 10.1.1.1 will work without :4242, although the browser page should also open automatically).
