Sql server agent error on server 2016

Question

Greeting , am kindly seeking you advise . my scheduled sql backups are failed with the below error . kindly advise on needs to be fixed

Please enable .NET Framework 3.5 on that server using the following command:

dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFx3 /source:d:\sources\sxs

More ways to enable it can be found here.

You can also copy the following 2 DLLs System.EnterpriseServices.dll and System.EnterpriseServices.Wrapper.dll to C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_32\System.EnterpriseServices\v4.0_4.0.0.0__????????????. You may find them using command prompt "C:\> DIR /s" and copy them or on another server also.

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A.
Please make sure the SQL Server agent service have permissions to connect to database.
And please try to update your windows version to newest one.
