Hi, I've been typing using English, Chinese (Simplified, which could also type Traditional Chinese) and Japanese.
Since I use an input method that is only available in Chinese (Simplified, China), but live in Taiwan, is it possible to keep Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan) language pack installed while removing all of the input methods (eg. Bopomofo)?
I've read this thread with similar question in Windows 10, but I cant find Language in Control Panel anymore in Windows 11.
Thanks in advance!
Best Regards
Ian

That only works until you restart the computer. Then it comes back again. I was getting tired of doing it every single day.
I actually believe I have found a permanent solution, for anyone else with this problem. I did this step back on February 7 and I haven't seen my unwanted keyboard again (almost a month has passed).
Check out Peter Njeim's reply on December 25, 2017 on this webpage: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/windows-keeps-automatically-adding-en-us-keyboard/69aaea0d-f588-4d54-89fa-a632ae7bced3?fbclid=IwAR24OcuRtpE1FAgQi4seRB0684R7wNXKASdrj2oX8X4RCetqIxpKOKrg8VM&page=3. The offending keyboard was listed under the New user accounts info; once I made it match the others, I've only ever had my preferred setup.
The input method I'm trying to remove does not show up as an installed keyboard under my language. I have en-US set up as the language tag and the United States-International set as the input method. (Even shows that information in PowerShell using the Get command.) No other English keyboards appear under the language settings as installed. I also have the Hebrew (Standard) language and keyboard installed. However, the English (United States) US keyboard often appears in the input method window in the bottom right of my screen. To remove it, I have to install then uninstall that keyboard. The next time I start my computer, it reappears. Sometimes. There will be stretches when it actually does not load, and I only have the ENG INTL and the עבר keyboards. So how can I prevent the ENG US keyboard from ever loading?
Hi LuizScruz,
Thanks for the reply!
Unfortunately, the language I'm dealing with seems to encounter some issues.
I had done this method to remove the input method on Windows 10 before PC upgrades. But after I've updated my PC to Windows 11, I'm not sure what is preventing me to remove the input method.
Thanks again for your reply and I look forward to Microsoft resolving this issue.
Best Regards
Ian
Hello ChaoShaoWei, welcome to the Microsoft community, I'll be happy to help you today;
I understand you want to remove some keyboard layouts in Windows 11;
Press Windows key + I and access Time and Language;
Click Language and Region;
Click (...) which will be to the right of Preferred Languages and select "Language Options";
Scroll down to keyboards and click (...) on the right;
Select Remove;
Do this for all layouts you want to delete;
I hope I have helped, see you soon!
