Feedback loop using dial-in

Hello, We're trying to host a company meeting with people who have computers with no microphone or speakers. These people both call in on their computers to see the meeting, and dial in on their phones for audio/microphone. This works on Zoom. On Teams  when more than one cell phone calls in (they are not in the same room) and is in the proximity of their computer that is also logged in there is terrible feedback. The computer they're logged into is muted and the only microphone on is the cell phone. This same setup works over Zoom, but we want to use Teams. What is happening here? Thank you.

    Hello MB_492OL,

About feedback loop, could you please provide more details about issue symptom with us? Was there lot of echo and noises during meeting?

When using devices to join meetings, it relates to Teams companion mode. I think you could let one user use Teams companion mode to join the meeting to see if issue exists, then let another one use companion mode to join the meeting, gradually increase the number of participants to see how issue goes. Besides, you could let user change a place where has low signal interference.

If mobile device and desktop device of each user are both in the same network, if convenient, you could let user try to use different network for each device for test.

    Kind Regards,

    Anna

    Hi Anna,

I’ve been using Microsoft Teams now for just over a year. Had no problems, but recently changed by HP laptop for an IPad Pro. Teams continues to work fine for me, but other attendees on my calls are starting to get really bad echo’s/feedback.

I can’t find anything about this specifically on the forums. Would joining on my mobile device help with this symptom?

    Tom
