Dears,

I have received the following in my work Ms 365 mail account:

3 messagesare being held for you to review as of
6/4/2020 12:00:00 AM (UTC).
Review them within
30 days of the received dateby going to the Quarantine page in the Security & Compliance Center.

Is the sender something related to Microsoft? Also i have two more messages used showing my own email address as a sender:

Sender: ******@myworkdomain.com

Subject: Release Important Messages

Datee: 6/3/2020

With a Block & Review option

Can you please check & let me know?

Thanks!

Hi TereflegnMesele,

Thanks for your reply, I suggest you can click Block Sender to add the sender to your Blocked Sender list.

As I previous said, our email messages are automatically protected against spam and malware by EOP, and quarantine holds potentially dangerous or unwanted messages. Once we confirm that our valid messages are not quarantined. we just need to keep these spams or phish emails in Quarantine, by default, the message is reported to the Microsoft Spam Analysis Team. Depending on their analysis, the service-wide spam filter rules might be adjusted to allow the message through.

In addition, if you are an administrator, you can configure some anti-spam policies to protect your org, here is the detailed reference: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/security/office-365-security/configure-your-spam-filter-policies?view=o365-worldwide#configure-end-user-spam-notifications also, Microsoft Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) is a good choose, reference for you: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/servicedescriptions/office-365-advanced-threat-protection-service-description

Hope it is helpful to you, have a nice day:)

Thanks,

Linda

Thank you so much for the quick response!

I didn't send the 2 messages which shows my own address as a sender, they just appeared as a spam requesting my attention.

Any thing I should do to prevent this kind of incident please?

    Thanks again!!

    Hi TereflegnMesele,

    Thanks for posting here!

According to my experience, the sender in Prevented phish message is not related to Microsoft. And our email messages are automatically protected against spam and malware by EOP, the reason for quarantine this email is because the protection mechanism has been triggered. Therefore, I suggest you can select block the sender.

For another two messages used showing your email address, may I know if you have sent these two emails? If no, I think this is a phishing email that imitates your address.

We appreciate your time, welcome back to us for any queries.

    Thanks,

    Linda
