When I wanted to reset my mail password last night, I received a verification code from 0850 540 0609 phone number. This does not appear to be a microsoft number, but the sms verification I need to receive from microsoft comes correctly from this phone. Can you inform me about this issue? If this is a phishing attack, how can I reset my password because when I want to reset it, this number can send the verification code (not the official microsoft number) to my phone number, but I cannot get a verification code from the official microsoft. What is interesting is that the code they send works, could this number really belong to microsoft? (There are conflicting publications about this phone number on the internet)
Thanks for your helping.
Best Regards...

Hello Ibhadighi
Thank you for your help. I totally agree with everything you said but my main problem is that I cannot reach a microsoft official to verify whether this number is official or not.

It's not unusual to receive verification codes from various numbers, Microsoft use multiple SMS gateways for sending out codes, which can result in them coming from different numbers, including those that might not obviously be linked to Microsoft.
However, caution is always important. Here’s a simple way to approach this:
I hope this helps.
