Incorrect wireless network SSID attached to setup card

We've receieved our first Azure Percept DK and the card enclosed references a different SSID to the one being broadcast from the machine. Is there a way either to reconfigure the SSID from ethernet, or obtain the wireless password for the alternate SSID?

Hi @Andrew Bailey can you confirm that in your card you only have reference to "one" SSID? In my case I had a reference to two SSIDs, one starting with scz-xxxx and another with apd-xxxx. Thanks

@Anonymous - in spite of what the card shows, you should see the dev kit broadcasting a SSID that looks like "apd-xxxx". If you see that SSID, the same password found on the card should work.

Hi @Andrew Bailey ,

In most cases the dev kit you received should be broadcasting a SSID that looks like "apd-xxxx" (where xxxx is the last four characters of the device's MAC address). If that this the SSID you see, then the password printed on the welcome card should work.

However, if your dev kit is broadcasting an SSID that looks like "scz-xxxx" then the password should be "santacruz".

If this is not helpful to your situation, we will need a more detailed description of what you are seeing.

Hi there, our dev kit is only broadcasting the SSID scz-2d71 and unfortunately santacruz will not allow us to connect.
We plan to attach to an unmanaged physical network shortly and see if we can get in that way, but if there's anyone who can provide the correct Wi-fi password it would be appreciated.

@Anonymous - are you saying that the SSID that is being broadcasted by the dev kit (scz-2d71) is different than the SSID/password that is on the welcome card (pictured - scz-9413)?

Do you have more than one dev kit?

If your dev kit is broadcasting an SSID different than what is on the welcome card, you will want to follow up with ASUS who manufactured the device. Here's how you can contact them.

Go to https://www.asus.com/us/support/contact/troubleshooting

Enter your device serial number or if you've already registered your device you can select Choose your registered product.

If you don't have the serial number, you can search for the product.

Under Select a Product, select Show All Products.

Select AIOT & Industrial Solutions.

For Product Series, select Intelligent Edge Computer.

For Product Model, select Azure Percept DK or Azure Percept Audio.

Select Continue.

You'll be presented with a list of articles for common support issues. Select the article that best represents the issue you're experiencing.

If none of the articles cover your issue, select the See support button for options on receiving direct support.

@Anonymous - in addition to my previous post, you can also try these to get around your issue.

You can bypass the device's wifi access point and set up the device over an Ethernet connection. You should still be able to connect your device to your home/business wifi network once you've started the setup experience. See these instructions:

There is also a utility that will retrieve the wifi access point password off the device.

Last week, I connected to the device by cable and found out the correct details of the Wi-Fi, they are totally different than the details on the sheet.

The device is fully operational now, so far I have:
• Registered the device in Azure IoT Hub
• Deploy modules to the percept device
• Implement an AI computer vision module at the edge
• Use the percept device/camera to recognize objects
• Train the AI module to recognize new objects
