VBA editor opening ALL the macros in mulitple open worksheets when I select edit

I don't know what I did but all the sudden when I go to edit one macro, the VBA editor opens them all at once. It's messy...and it's opening ones that aren't even in the sheet I selected so it's hard to find what I"m looking for. I assume I have a setting I changed by accident, but I don't know what or how to change it back.

here are the steps I'm following click Macros, select macros in this workbook, choose the macro I want and the macro I want, click edit

then I get this- see how it includes a ton of macros not only from the sheet I selected above but from another open sheet as well.

You can't see them all above because they're all on top of one another, but if I minimize them you can see it opened 16 macros, not just the 6 in the sheet I selected.

I tried closing all my open Excel files and starting over (I need two files open at once to do what I'm doing) and it still opens all the macros in both sheets.

any ideas what I need to change to make it go back to only open the editor for the ONE macro I selected- or at least only the macros in the sheet I selected??

thank you!

That didn't help at all... I tried both the quick repair and then the longer repair that made me put my product code back in like I was doing a fresh install.

It's gotta be some kind of view or something I opened accidentally.

    Any other ideas???
