    I did some research but cannot find a KB which completely matches the error code. Some are very close:

    For this situation, can you tell me what issue is occurring? You can share some details about the symptom of the Outlook issue and the versions of the Outlook client or operating system.

    Outlook 2010  - (office 365 account)

    when OWA is checked, all emails are updated.

    Outlook is not updating properly and having disconnected connection.

    Might be closest related here support.microsoft.com/.../2991453

    can you double check the error equivalent for [80004005-501-4B9-940] in official Microsoft Library?

    Hi Martin,

    To narrow down the issue, could you check the following?

    1. Have you tried the resolution of the error code [80040600-501-80040600-560]?
    2. To identify if it is related to the account, I suggest you configure another account and verify whether emails are updated.
    3. To check if it’s related to the Outlook client, I suggest you use another computer to configure your account and verify whether emails are updated.
    4. To check if the profile has been damaged, I suggest you create a new profile, add your account and verify whether emails are updated. To add a new profile , you can refer to the following article :
