I'm trying to create a SharePoint home page. In the body part, I plan to add 4 parts which I like to show as tile (just like promoted sites). Please et me know how to do that. Thanks!

    Hi Patrick,

You can follow steps below to add custom URLs as tiles with steps below:

    1. Add the Promoted Links app by clicking Site Contents > add an app > Promoted Link.

    1. Open the app, and click LIST on the ribbon > Current View, and select the All Promoted Links view.

    1. Click new item to add your custom URLs, and input the required information, like Title, Link location and Launch Behavior.
    2. Go to edit the home page, click INSERT on the ribbon > App Part and select the app created above.

    1. Save the change, and the tiles will appear on the home page.

    Regards,

    Very helpful. Thanks!

My another question is when I add this to the home page, how can I leave a large space between each tile? and how to make the tile bigger?

    Hi Patrick,

Based on my research, your requirement (larger space and bigger tile) can be achieved by programming method. We suggest you post in our SharePoint development forum to get professional help.

Meanwhile, I found the following links for your reference:

    Increase space between promoted links

change the default tile size in Sharepoint 2013

Note: The above links also work for SharePoint Online.
