I remember having created a new view under the library then deleted it. Since then I can't see the default " Documents' folder in SharePoint.

Any instruction on how to re instate it?

Hi Relinabreu,

Please perform the following steps to help narrow down this issue:

1.Type "Documents" in the search box on the top right corner of this site and search it. on the next search result page. check if there is your team site - Documents.

2.Access  the Document library via the URL directly: YourteamsiteURL/Shared%20Documents/Forms/AllItems.aspx

3.Open your team site using SharePoint designer 2013 -> under lists and libraries, check if you can see the documents library.

Note: you can download SharePoint designer 2013 here and see how to open sites using designer With this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gw-P-4YR6dw if you are not familiar with it.

    Thanks Sky Pei.

I had actually renamed the default documents library and deleted. I just needed to restore it from the recycle bin and renamed it back.

    Appreciate your help.

    Nope!

Not under Site Content or none of the recycle bins. It was not deleted.  I modified the view then deleted the new one I created. That's when it disappeared.

    Hi Relinabreu,

Please perform the steps below to check the outcome:

1.Click the gear on the upper right corner ->site contents and see if the Documents library there. If so, please click EDIT LINKS on the left panel and then drag the Documents to the left directly. A screenshot is for your reference.

2.If you can't find Documents there, please click the gear on the upper right corner-> site settings->Under Site Collection Administration, click Recycle bin to see if it is there, also you can check the second-stage recycle bin. If you find it , you can restore it and then try the step1 to add the Documents library to the navigation panel.

Let me know the updates when you have time.

    Thanks,

    Sky Pei
