When can we expect Spain's Azure region to be live?

I appreciate this might not be the right forum to ask but I couldn't find any other better place to ask.
Does anyone know when Azure region for Spain is expected to be deployed?
Around Feb. 2020 Microsoft informed that they would open a new region in Spain but there hasn't been any news since then.

When MS forum watchers have no clue, PM is maybe not answering, then 2020 remains the glory year:) if only we could go back to the past and see if it gets implemented then :)hopefully ignore mode switches off and an answer comes, even if a shy one:)

2024-05-24T07:21:32.0433333+00:00 :) This is like those marketing strategies creating excitement about something "coming soon" :)
The more the delay piles up, the more the people expect it the next day to be here:)(or maybe on a serious note there wasn't so much business interest/request for Spain so then it did not justify financially for MS to build the DC up until now).

If the cause ends up being something outside of Azure control (permits, construction delays, etc.) I'm not sure if there will much of an update but at the very least it will be good to emphasize that there are a good number of people who are interested in a release date.
