Insert Symbol / Equation

Question

In OneNote 2016 and previous version, you can Insert > Equation or Symbol.

Being able to edit my own equation using type (not handwriting) is absolutely necessary for my notes. I'd also like to be able to insert Greek letters, accented letters, currency / math / science symbols, etc.

Where is this feature in the OneNote Windows 10 App?

There are math features in OfW, but only if you have an Office 365 license.
