This is the error I get when trying to create a new note on notebook

One note cannot create a new notebook at:

Posible reasons include:

-The specified location is not available 

-You do not have permisions to modify the specified location

-The path or notebook name contains invalid characters.

-The combined path and notebook name exceeds the maximum path length

please provide assistance

    Hi Dimarce,

    Thanks for posting  your issue in this community. Per your description, you cannot create a new notebook as expected. To help you further solve, please try to sign out and in, also try a restart on your computer. Sometimes it solves the problem with such step.

    Moreover, try to use another browser(enviorment) or InPrivate window to check the result.

    As you mentioned "The combined path and notebook name exceeds the maximum path length", please try to create a new notebook in Document folder with OneDrive directly and see the result.

    Additionally, please go to OneNote for the weband see if you can create as usual.

    If the issue still persists, may I confirm can you create files in Word/ Excel in OneDrive?

    May I confirm can you create the new notebook in OneNote 2016 or OneNote for Windows 10 application?
