Drop cap trouble

Hello,

I have a trouble with drop caps, i.e. everything's ok as long as the drop cap doesn't need to include the " sign, which of course I must include in the drop cap layout.

Here's an example of UNPROBLEMATIC drop cap:

Here's the trouble. The drop cap is too large and thus cut (height set on 2 lines as can be seen). Please note that the drop cap settings are identical. Manually resizing the selection window does not help, it messes up even worse:

I think the issue is the " mark, but no way I can omit it.

Any ideas?

Actually, publishing convention does permit omission of an opening quotation mark in a drop cap. That might be the easiest solution. Or add the drop cap with just the initial and then add the quotation mark.

    Thank You very much Ms. Barnhill, the former solution works just fine (delete the quotation marks then add it back subsequently to capitalization)!
