Missing Subset Drop list form Symbol dialog box in MS Word

In Word, I lost my Subset drop list in the Symbol dialog box. How do I get it back? I desperately need it! Attached is a picture of what I'm presently getting (with my comment of frustration added):

    Hello Richard, I´m Jamie. an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you.

    I will be assisting you today with your concern.

    In the lower right corner, can you choose Unicode (hex) instead of ASCII. That

    makes the subset drop down visible.
