Automatically change text in cell depending on value of other cells

I'm creating a spreadsheet to keep track of statuses of bedrooms for university accommodation. Rooms need to be inspected and cleaned.

I'm trying to get the text in the bedroom status column (Column C) to automatically change depending on the values of cells in Column A and B;

The room is only Ready to be let out if Column A shows "Inspected" and Column B shows "Clean". Any other value in these columns will display "Not Ready" in Column C.

Any help to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi James

    Try the formula below in cell C2 and copy/drag it down

    =IF(AND(A2="Inspected",B2="Clean"),"Ready","Not Ready")
