Excel Keeps Freezing

So, I am constantly switching between multiple excel spreadsheets daily with my work copying and pasting and using the search function and arrow keys. However, I keep encountering an issue where the screen will freeze and it wont respond until I minimize/maximize the window. This is incredibly frustrating and I have to keep saving my work, shut down excel completely and reopen all my spreadsheets and it will then happen again at some unknown and random point.

I tried searching for this issue online and I found that the person below had the same issue. However, nobody was able to resolve her problem. I am working remotely from home and so my work is done via a remote desktop. I have asked the IT team if they can help but not found much joy with them as usual.

Please can someone help solve this issue?!

    Office 2016 or 365?

    In the first instance run an Office repair

    Restart the PC, once fully loaded, repair Office,> Apps & Features>Select Office your version>Modify /Repair, once the repair completes re-test

    If still an issue and you are using an exchange mail account (not outlook.com, then run this MS Utility to see what it reports
