Do you want to get rid of the table definition and all of the data:

if there is just the table data on the rows, select all of the rows, right click and delete the rows.

If you want to keep the data, but get rid of the table definition:

    • With the insertion point inside the table the "contextual" Table tab will display
    • in the Table Styles group click on the Styles gallery
    • Click on the "none" style in the upper right corner of the gallery to remove all formatting
    • In the Tools group click on the "Convert to Range"" button

This will remove the table definition, converting the table into "normal" data.

You have to click inside the table to give it focus so the contextual tab will display.

    .

Simply hovering over the table will not work.

    Ron:

Still want to retain the workbook, just delete the table.

Why can't you right click on it in File Explorer and click on delete?
