VPN dropped connection, can reconnect to VPN but can't access network

Having an issue with remote VPN users dropping connection, being able to reconnect to VPN - much like a false positive as unable to access anything on the network.

We've gone through the usual restarting users wifi and users PCs but the only proven remedy is to restart routing and remote access service from the VPN server but that isn't ideal as it kicks everyone else off - queue the complaints and inevitable issues that causes!

Anyone any ideas to reset VPN connection at the user end without going to extremes?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    Please try this way:
Disable and enable the device WAN Miniport (IP) in Device Manager (go to Start – Run – devmgmt.msc – Enter)
Under Network Adapters select the WAN Miniport (IP) and press the Disable device button. After it has been disabled press the Enable device button
