My Excel Spreadsheet keeps scrolling up when trying to move a photo

When trying to insert a photo and move it to the bottom of the spreadsheet, the page automatically scrolls up when I'm trying to move it further down and wouldn't let me move it down unless if I'm using the arrow keys on my keyboard. I'm just trying to figure out why and if its something that I could stop :)

    Hello, rjp_7

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I realize that you have encountered a problem with moving photos in Excel. I understand how you feel.

I have tried to reproduce your issue in Excel on Microsoft 365 on a Windows computer here.

If I move the picture down to the edge with the mouse until the prohibition symbol appears, when I release the mouse, the page will scroll up, leaving the picture still in its original position. Just as you described.

If I move the picture down with the mouse without the prohibition symbol appearing, then when I release the mouse, the page will not scroll up, and the picture will stay there.

Is this the same situation you are encountering?

If it is the same, then this is indeed a current limitation in Excel when moving pictures.

I suggest you go to the feedback platform to submit your suggestion.

It not, I would like to know:

    • What device are you using? Windows computer/Mac/Android phone or tablet/iPhone or iPad)?
    • Your Office version. Open a Excel file **** > select File in the upper-left corner -> select Account. Attach a screenshot of this full page.

Please understand that our initial response may not always solve the problem immediately. Feel free to post back if you need further assistance.

    Best wishes,

Hello thank you! No, there is no prohibition symbol that appears, but here is a screenshot of my Office Version. I was not able to see account when i clicked on file, but this is what I found.
