Google Drive & Word - Cannot save

You are two huge organisations. If we say you are the two biggest software companies in the world, only Apple is taken. That's it.

Despite this, you have not been able to solve a simple problem I have been experiencing for the past 2 years. I am explaining the problem:

I keep all my files in Google Drive environment. Google Drive Desktop Version: 101.0.3.0, so if I create a new Word document, I want to keep it in the correct folder in Google Drive, but the problem is that I cannot save a new Word file anywhere in Google Drive.

  • If I open an old Word file and work on it, I can save it where it is without any problem.
  • If I copy a Word file where it is and rename it and move on, I have no problem.
  • I can save any other file related to Microsoft 365, such as Excel, PowerPoint; I can save it wherever I want, even if I am saving it for the first time.

Let's say I opened a word and wrote 20 pages of text. Then I move to save it to a folder on my computer synchronised with Google Drive. The computer doesn't give any error, but it doesn't save it either. When I think it is saved and close the file, all my information is lost.

I lost hours of my time because of you two giant companies.

Google asked for a video recording for debugging, I sent it. Then it asked again, I sent it again. I didn't send it when it asked for the 3rd time. We also have our work. We are not your toys, take a look at what has been recorded before.

I am waiting for you to solve this disgraceful situation.

Under File>Options>Save, do you have the box checked for "Show additional places for saving even if sign in may be required"?

Yes. Your original post is essentially providing feedback to Microsoft and Google, neither of which will read anything here.

Go to https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/ where you can post feedback for Microsoft regarding this. Note that Microsoft's decision makers won't read threads in the Microsoft Community forums.

This does not work. I still cannot save a word file to any local Gdrive folder.

Sub Fișier>Opțiuni>Salvare, aveți caseta bifată pentru „Afișați locuri suplimentare pentru salvare, chiar dacă poate fi necesară conectarea”?
