My azure for students is incuring charges

Please I registered for Azure for students which is said to be free and started using their QnA maker. Now when I navigate to the subscription on the portal, I see Accumulated Cost $12.09 which I don't understand because the subscription is supposed to be free.

    The QnA Maker offers up to three (3) managed documents per month for free, if you have more, then there will be a cost, as said over at the Azure free account FAQ page:
