Cannot Install or Update Microsoft/Xbox Apps

Experiencing issues with installing or updating any apps related to Microsoft/Xbox for over 6 months. Followed various suggestions on reconfiguring, resetting, and changing settings, but none have resolved the problem. Updates occasionally start downloading but often fail at the first percentage, resulting in different error codes. Additionally, when attempting to sign into Windows settings with a Microsoft account, it leads to a loop of entering the computer PIN, account information, and password repeatedly.

Always remember to provide as many details as possible @ironsides . Otherwise you're just gonna get the most generic answer that hasn't helped anybody, exactly like you did. But I'm truly here because I'm experiencing the same problem. Any game that I have downloaded through xbox app, just refuses to update, and only way to fix it, is to completely reinstall it every time. I've tried updating through xbox app, restarting xbox app, updating through ms store, restarting ms store, rebooting the pc, clearing temp files and yet, it just says Checking dependencies 1% and then gives you an error code 0x80070020. Also been happening for months to me. Internet connection can't be an issue because everywhere else I can download and update at comfy 500Mbit. The update dialog says it's at 0 B out of 0 B, but after you click uninstall, it suddenly loads the update size, and right now it's showing 0 B out of 3.8 GB instead. Specs:
Ryzen 7 5700X3D
RTX 4070 Super
32gb Kingston Fury 3200MHz CL16 RAM
Gigabyte B550M DS3H-AC mobo
Samsung 870 EVO 1TB <- drive where I'm trying to install it (not system drive)

The official linked "fix" page tells you to disable your anitivirus, which is funny because I only use windows defender, and disabling it obviously doesn't help at all. So the fix I suggest for now: Unfortunately you have to reinstall the app/game every time, and then, cease from using ms store/xbox app ever again because it's not a launcher, it's a joke.

Under Download ISO file, select Windows 11.
Click Download and choose the Language in which Windows is installed.
Click 64-bit Download to start the download.
When downloaded, open the ISO file, and run Setup.exe to start the upgrade.
