Hello community,
2 days now i have a problem with the installation of sql server and sql management sudio 21. At first I achieved to install the programms and create server but I delete all of them as softwares and in background in regedit. Now i am trying again to install and i have that issue.
Unable to install SQL Server (setup.exe).
Exit code (Decimal): -2068052377
Does anyone have any source to fix the issue ?

The issue was not resolved as I had hoped. However, I decided to format the specific PC as a last resort, and that successfully resolved the problem.
Uninstalling the software should not be a problem. Going on a delete craze in the registry, on the other hand, is not the best of ideas. It may not be trivial to get the machine back on track. I don't read Greek, but the occurrence of the Windows SDK installer in the message is familiar. When this happens, this may be due to that the installer cache is not in order.
Your best bet may be to install SQL Server on a virtual machine or Docker.
I tried installing SQL Server 2022 Express Edition, but I keep running into problems. At first, I managed to install it, but since I couldn’t upload data into the database, I decided to uninstall everything and start over. Now, when I try reinstalling, I get stuck with this error:
"Unable to install SQL Server (setup.exe). Exit code (Decimal): -2068052377 Error description: The command line parameter is not valid. Refer to Windows Installer SDK for detailed help about command line parameters."
I’m not very experienced with this kind of software, and it’s driving me crazy because I just want to set up SQL Server again and use it. And also I had opened the file of path and showed that it passed all the tests ( I closed even the firewall if it was an obstacle, but nothing)
I am sorry, but this is an error that require a lot work to recover from. More to the point: I don't have a clue. And when you confess that you have been running around in the registry, the chances that will be able to help from you from a distance are about nil. I'm not sure that I would be able if I your laptop in front of me and the whole day to spend on the problem (which I don't).
Hence my recommendation to consider a virtual machine or Docker. Granted, these are technologies that come with a learning curve. The flip side is that they are technologies that are well worth mastering.
